Error description

  • PROBLEM:
    I created an escalation to update MODELNUM from MATRECTRANS
    table to
    INVENTORY table. When escalation trigged, I got the
    notification but it
    did not update the MODELNUM attribute.
    
    Error in logs:

    PERFORMANCE ISSUE:no
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    We use Receiving app to receive rotating and non-rotating item.
    We need
    update model number during Change Inspection Status. There is no
    internal PO in the process.
    
    1. Go to Receiving app.
    
    2. Select a PO in WINSP status.
    
    3. Take an action - Change Inspection Status. Input
    Model(matrectrans.modelnum), click OK.
    4. Escalation take place to update modelnum from
    matrectrans.modelnum
    to inventory.modelnum

    As a part of the escalation run an Action on Object Matrectrans:
    Type: setvalue
    value: :modelnum
    Parameter/Attribute: Inventory.modelnum
    Accessible from: All
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    Model number not changing in Inventory record
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    Model Number should change in Inventory record

Problem conclusion

  • An access check on InvVendor was preventing the escalation from
    successfully completing and updating the ModelNum in Inventory.
    
    The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
    package:
