IV94670: ACCESS TO A PROJECT RECORD WITH READ ONLY ACCESS, CARRIES OVER TO ACCESSING PROJECT RECORDS THAT ARE NOT READ ONLY.

APAR status

Error description

• There are 2 project records that a user is trying to access.
  Project 1 - has security on it for read only access for a
  particular security group (on the security tab of the project).
  Project 2 - the security does NOT have read only access (on the
  security tab of the project)
  
  User in the security group logs in and accesses Project 1.  The
  record is read only, which is correct.
  Now, the user accesses Project 2, which should be editable.  It
  is not.  It is still read only.
  

Local fix

• Go into the Admin Console and clear the Security Scope cache
  

Problem summary

• Need to check Project permissions to make sure they are or are
  not read only
  

Problem conclusion

• An issue that could cause a users permissions to be reduced to
  read-only after viewing a read-only project record has been
  resolved. A previous workaround of clearing the security cache
  to reset the permissions level is no longer necessary.
  This is targeted to the 1h2017 release
