Error description

  • During the creation of a job plan - (Click Maintenance - > Click
Preventative Maintenance and Select Plan Work -> Add), a
    schedule is to
be added. In the create schedule window, PM event creation
    window is
opened for creating recurring event. After adding the recurrence
details, we click Next and then click Continue. (clicking
    continue
takes 8-10 seconds for single user and 8-20 seconds during
    Load).
During our initial analysis, we see the "PMEvent - Synchronus -
    Create
Scheduled Events and Create Project or Tasks" is the workflow
    that
takes the time during the execution.
Attached is the snapshot from workflow analysis for this
    action, the
flow for browsing this functionality and exported workflow for
    analysis
    in your environment.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • Need to make scheduling process as asynchronous process. Need
to make sure scheduled tasks created correctly as setup by
    recurrence pattern.
    1. Modifiy Event BO to have "triScheduleAsync" self action on
    "New" State
    2. Modifiy "PMEvent - Synchronous - Create Scheduled Events
and Create Project or Tasks" workflow to trigger
    "triScheduleAsync" instead of Schedule action.
    3. Create new workflow "Event - triScheduleAsync - Schedule
Asynchronous " on Event object to trigger Schedule action.

Problem conclusion

  • Made scheduling process as asynchronous process.
This is targeted to the 1h2017 release.
