Error description

  • Client is having an issue when they create a Work Order (has
    children = 0), then add a Job Plan (has children = 1). Now,
    when they remove the Job Plan, has children does not revert
    back to 0.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    A. Pre-requisite steps since I don't have access to the backend:
    Go to System Configuration > Platform Configuration >
    Application Designer
    Look for WOTRACK
    Now, you are in Workspace tab
    Go to Work Order tab
    Click Control Palette icon (We will add a new textbox in WO tab)
    Drag "Textbox" in the screen
    Click the Textbox we added, then right click > Properties
    In the Attribute field, click Select Value
    Attribute = HASCHILDREN | Object = WORKORDER
    Close the window.
    SAVE.
    Logout.

    B. To reproduce:
    Login to Maximo
    Go to Work Order Tracking
    Create a new Work Order (e.g. WO123)
    Save.
    Has Children? = N
    Add a Job Plan (e.g. JP123)
    Has Children? is now = Y
    Remove the Job Plan.
    Has Children is still = Y
    Save.
    Notice that "Has Children" is still = Y

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * Adding a nested job plan to a work order and then removing *
    * it, without saving at any point in the process, will *
    * incorrectly set the "HASCHILDREN" flag to true on the work *
    * order after a save is performed. *
