  • STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1) Navigate to Service Desk -> Service Requests
    
    2) Click on New Service Request
    
    3) In reportedby name, enter a name without a corresponding
    PERSON record. Make sure this name completely fills the field,
    for example
    12345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012
    
    4) Save the record
    
    5) Change the status (the choice is not important) to In
    PROGRESS
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    Error in browser
    
    BMXAA4049E - The value specified exceeds the maximum field
    length that is allowed for this attribute: Value =
    12345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012,
    Object Name=SR, Attribute Name=REPORTEDBYID, Maximum Length=30.
