IV91520: ABLE TO REOPEN CLOSED OR CANCELLED PURCHASE CONTRACTS BY REVISING EXPIRD STATUS REVISION

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The EXPIRD contract revision status is not being set to REVISD
    once the new contract revision is changed from PENDREV to APPR.
    Also, the history flag is not being udpated from 0 to 1. This
    allows someone to go back and revise the EXPIRD contract
    revision again, even after the most recent revision of the
    contract has been set to the CLOSE status.
    
    Steps to Reproduce:
    A. Pre-requisite to reproduce
    Login to Maximo
    Go to System Configuration > Platform Configuration >
    Escalations
    Create New Escalation
    Fill in Escalation Name and Description
    Applies to: PURCHVIEW
    Condition: trunc(ENDDATE) <= trunc(SYSDATE) AND STATUS ='APPR'
    Schedule: Set to 5 mins for testing
    Click New Row in Escalation Points
    Click New Row in Actions tab
    Click Select Value in Action field, then it will redirect you
    to Action Application
    In Action application
    Fill in Name for Action
    Object: PURCHVIEW > Type: Change Status > Value: EXPIRD > SAVE
    Click Return With Value
    Back to Escalation
    SAVE the record
    Select Action > Click Validate > lick Active/Deactivate
    Escalation(to activate)
    
    Now, Go to Contracts > Purchase Contracts
    Create new record
    Fill in required fields:
    Contract Name: PC1021
    Company: UTILITY
    Start Date: Date Today
    End Date: Date Today
    Go to Contract Lines > Click New Row
    Item: 111-3718
    QUantity: 10
    Order Unit: EACH
    Unit Cost: 100
    SAVE.
    Select Action > Authorize Sites, choose Bedford > OK
    Change Status to Approve
    
    Wait for the Contract (PC1021) to Expire
    Revise the Contract (Revision 1)
    Approve the Contract (Status: APPR)
    
    Revise the EXPIRED Contract (Revision 2)
    Close the Contract (Status: CLOSE)
    
    Revise again the EXPIRED Contract (Revision 3)
    Cancel the Contract (Status: CAN)
    
    Revise again the EXPIRED Contract (Revision 4)
    Approve again the Contract (Status: APPR)
    
    ** Notice that Revised EXPIRED Contract multiple times and move
    it to New Revision, no matter what the status of the latest
    contract Revision is in (Closed/Cancelled revision)
