  • PROBLEM:

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    1. Create a new PO for vendor ATI.
    2. Add a line for purchase of one item 12853 to inventory
    CENTRAL and make sure Receipt Required? is marked.
    3. Approve the PO.
    4. Go to Receiving application and find the PO.
    5. Receive ordered item 12853 to staging location RECEIVING
    using the
    Select Ordered Items dialogue.
    6. Save the receipt.
    7. Go back to PO application and cancel the PO.
    8. Go back to Receiving application and find the PO again.
    9. Choose Action Change Inspection Status
    
    Maximo gives BMXAA3268E - The status of the purchase order
    should be Approved or In Progress.
    
    ISSUE ANALYSIS:
    
    The error in step 9 is of course correct but Maximo should not
    allow PO ancellation in step 8.
    Also , Maximo allows cancellation of POs where items or services
    have been received and returned.
    This is not ok as the user may need to process a credit invoice
    for the returned goods.
    It should only be possible to cancel a PO that have receipts if
    all receipts have been reversed with void receipts.
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    
    Maximo Allows Cancellation of POs Having Materials Waiting for
    Inspection
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    
    Maximo should not allow PO cancellation in receiving APP when
    Inspectionis required.
