APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using the optimization with debug feature, the compiler is
  encountering an internal compiler error.  A compiler hung
  process in xlCcode is seen when using the -qsuppress=1500-029
  option along with optimization with debug.

Local fix

• Use either -g for debug info or -O for optimization, but not
  both.
  

Problem summary

• PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Internal compiler error or hang when using optimziation with
  debug.
  
  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users who use -O2 and -g# with union/struct in inlineable
  functions.
  

Problem conclusion

• The issue has been fixed.
