APAR status

Error description

  • When using the APM UI and ITM Data provider 630_FP2 an out of
memory condition can occur in EWAS.

Local fix

  • Restart the Tivoli Enterprise Portal server.

Problem summary

  • Memory Leak in IBM Tivoli Monitoring data provider EWAS java
process.


IBM Tivoli Monitoring Portal Server EWAS java process consuming
memory until an out of memory condition occurrs.

Problem conclusion

  • A regression in the CURI libraries used in the IBM Tivoli
Monitoring data provider caused the memory leak.  A new version
of the CURI libraries containing the fix are being used in the
data provider.

The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
packages:
