Local fix

Problem summary

  • JCmd was introduced by Oracle with 7u4 specifically written for
    Hotspot JVM. This tool have JVM internal dependency and need to
    be supported by IBM J9 VM as most of the functionality like to
    query JVM state, GC state, running thread information etc need
    IBM J9VM specific support.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR5
    .
    JCmd tool is currently being removed from IBM JDK7 package. This
    tool will be introduced back into IBM JDK7 package while the
    tools gets specifically implemented for IBM J9 JVM.
