IT29533: GZIP RESPONSE PAYLOADS CANNOT BE PASSED THROUGH TO THE CLIENT

Fix packs for DataPower Gateway version 7.6

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• DataPower automatically uncompresses GZIPped response message
  payloads when they are received from backend servers. These
  payloads can be recompressed outbound to the client, but some
  use cases require the payloads to remain in a GZIPped state as
  they traverse the gateway.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Sometimes when DataPower FSH returns the GZIP'ed response from
  backend to the requester, DP automatically un-compresses the
  response and removes the encoding header, which is not expected.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fix is available in 7.6.0.16 and 2018.4.1.7
