APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In Assembly Tools, we are not responding correctly to an
OPTIONS request when path parameters in Header is set to
    required.
This is request produced by the browser/API Assembly Test tool
    when initially making CORS OPTIONS.

Instead of responding with 200OK with Access-Control-* headers,
we respond with 400 Bad Request, missing required parameters.
    APIC & DP: 2018.4.1.3 & 2018.4.1.1.
    Test in: API Gateway
    Methods: GET, POST (rest untested)

Local fix

  • The only workaround is to not use required
parameters OR to somehow avoid doing cross-origin requests.

Problem summary

  • When user sends the OPTIONS request with the header parameter
which is defined as required, it shows a CORS error.
