Error description

• Problem Description:
  The alert email function is not allocating the right buffer
  size. Under some of multi-byte OS locale environment,
  the buffer size is not enough to store date and time data and an
  overflow is occurred. As the result, server can crash.
  
  Under some of multi-byte OS locale environment;
  The problem can happen when alert emailing is enabled with the
  alert monitoring feature (SET ALERTEMAIL ON).
  The problem can happen when the server is sending emails for
  individual alerts and for the alert summary emails.
  
  
  
  IBM Tivoli Storage Manager/IBM Spectrum Protect Versions
  affected:
  The problem can happen at all platforms on 7.1.x/8.1.x releases
  which runs on some of multi-bytes OS locale such as Japanese
  UTF8.

• Set "set alertemail off"  till the issue is fixed.
  or
  Use EUCJP (in case of Japanse) or an English OS locale. They do
