APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Identified by checking if the autoconfig file contains objects
    of the pattern:
    %if% available ""
      admin-state disabled
    exit
    %endif%
    The device might failsafe due to unexpected restart on startup.
    

Local fix

  • Remove the above section from the autoconfig file and restart
    the device.
    

Problem summary

  • On Failsafe startup, some configurations might trigger a
    subsequent unexpected restart causing loss of original failure
    notification data.
    

Problem conclusion

  • All objects configured in Failsafe are now protected preventing
    unexpected reloads on failsafe startup.
    Fix is available in 7.5.0.18, 7.5.1.17, 7.5.2.17, 7.6.0.10 and
    2018.4.1.0
