IT24051: SERVER ON WINDOWS CAN CRASH RUNNING A SELECT FROM CONTAINERS IF BACKSLASHES ARE MISSING IN THE CONTAINER FILE NAME

Error description

  • Any select from the containers table from dsmadmc command line,
    can crash the server when running on Windows platform, if
    backslashes are missing in the container file name.

    No error is seen in the activity log. The last entry logged will
    be the failing select from containers table.

Local fix

  • The following DB2 select can be used instead:
    DB2 "select * from containers"
