IT23258: OPERATIONS CENTER DOES NOT DISPLAY TAPE DEVICES FOR LIBRARIES OFTYPE IBM LTO

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Operations Center will display the error message:
    
    "An error occurred loading table data"
    
    when trying to display tape devices information under "Storage
    Tape Devices" page.
    This error is reported only when the device class was defined as
    an IBM LTO device type on old server versions (prior to V6).
    
    
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
    In the message.log related to Operations Center  the following
    error is reported:
    
    Caused by: com.ibm.tsm.command.TsmCmdException: TSM Command
    Exception, Error code:14 at
    com.ibm.tsm.command.TSMCommandResults.throwIfNotOK(TSMCommandRes

    Another indicator you have this problem is if the DB2 SQL query
    shows ATTR1 column with the value ' x'14000000' for the library:
         db2 "select classname, attr1 from ss_classes"

    IBM Spectrum protect Server v7.1.6  and v8.1 and later
