APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The JMS Front Side Handler on DataPower might not recover from
    the down state or after a configuration save. This issue could
    be present when Maintain Strict Message Order is enabled on the
    associated service, ex. Multi-Protocol Gateway.
    

Local fix

  • Disable Maintain Strict Message Order on the associated service.
    

Problem summary

  • Affected is the use of WebSphere JMS Handler.
    When the WebSphere JMS Handler points to a JMS Queue which
    enables "Maintain Strict Message Order" in server side, and the
    user tries to re-active the JMS Handler, then the JMS Handler
    will fail to reset the connection and stay at pending state.
    

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

  • Restart the corresponding domain.
