Error description

  • When multiple client backups are executed in parallel, it is
    expected that multiple volumes are mounted at the same time if
    the same number of volumes and drives are available.
    
    But when some drives' state are UNKNOWN, mount request may be
    delayed even if there are mountable drives at that time.  For
    example, when 5 client backups are executed in parallel with 5
    available tape drives, 4 volumes are mounted as expected, but
    one backup session is remained "WAITING FOR VOLUME."  As a
    result, 5th volume is not mounted until one of former backup
    session finishes.
    
    This issue is caused by side effect of APAR IC86853.
