Error description

  • When using IBM Spectrum Protect command PROTECT STGPOOL in
conjunction with REPLICATE NODE, in rare circumstances it is
possible for objects to be stored with an incorrect layout on
the target server. Symptoms include VMs that restore correctly
but do not boot, as well as activity log messages similar to
this on the target server during restore:

This scenario introduces some inconsistencies in the database on
the target server by inserting additional extents into the
object reconstruction table. Extents themselves are not damaged.
