Error description
With PCOMM v12, the user is getting an error stating that PCSWS.exe has stopped working when they try to close PCOMM session window under Windows v10 operating system.

**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * All IBM Personal Communications v12 users on Windows 10 * * operating system * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * PCSWS.EXE crashes when closing the emulator session. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Below are the steps to recreate the problem: 1) Open a PCOMM emulator session (either 3270 or 5250). 2) Perform any operation. (This step is optional). 3) Close the emulator session. PCSWS.EXE crashes while closing the session. The information related to the crash can be seen logged under the Application logs of Microsoft Event Viewer.
Problem conclusion
Windows 10 operating system has stringent security checks and hence it will not allow to register the untrusted custom PCOMM fonts, which are present outside the [%windir%/Fonts] path. Changes have been made to PCSFONT.DLL module to address the issue. Fix scheduled for IBM Personal Communications 12.0.3 Refresh Pack and 13.0.1 Refresh Pack.
