Error description
When configuring a DataBase connection and a host alias is used for the connection string, where the host alias is mapped to an IP address, DataPower performs a DNS lookup first instead of using the mapped IP address.
Local fix
The work around until applying this fix is to use an IP address instead of the host alias for the DataBase connection string
Problem summary
For DataPower users who use database connection and have defined database server IP in DataPower Host Alias configuration, DataPower doesn't use Host Alias data but always performs a DNS lookup.
Problem conclusion
Fix is available in 7.1.0.18, 7.2.0.15, 7.5.0.9, 7.5.1.8, 7.5.2.8 and 7.6.0.0 For a list of the latest fix packs available, please see: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21237631
