APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using a WS-Mediation policy, either in the form of a local
  XML document or a policy document configured on WSRR, the SLM
  policy created on DataPower is in a down state. The error
  indicates "Invalid threshold interval".
  
  This is a result of the maximum interval of 65,535 which is
  enforced on DataPower 7.5.+ when the SLM interval-type is
  moving. When the policy has an interval longer than this
  amount, for example 1 day, the generated SLM policy is invalid.
  
  To address this, there will now be an option to select a fixed
  interval from the policy document, instead of the default
  moving interval. This is done by setting the <wsme:Attribute>.
  
  The 2 new attributes are:
  MessageCountFixed
  ErrorCountFixed
  

Local fix

• Set your policy interval to be shorter than 65,535 seconds.
  

Problem summary

• WS-Mediation attributes disallow any ThresholdType but Moving.
  Fixed intervals of any type were not allowed.
  

Problem conclusion

• Extend ws-mediation Attributes to include 2 new values:
  MessageCountFixed and ErrorCountFixed. Values effectively set
  ThreshIntervalType and ThresholdType via one value.
  
  Fix is available in 7.5.0.9, 7.5.1.8, 7.5.2.8 and 7.6.0.0
