Error description

• A restore of an Microsoft Exchange mailbox database fails,
  negatively affecting successive operations like a Microsoft
  Exchange mailbox restore.
  
  The Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange log file
  (tdpexc.log) shows:

  For attempted restores of mailbox databases backed up using
  the "VSS" method, the API error log (dsierror.log) shows
  messages like:

  Affected versions of IBM Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager
   and IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot for Microsoft Windows:
  3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 8.1
  
  If the messages in the API trace match, this APAR may also
  apply to the above and other IBM Spectrum Protect and Tivoli
  Storage Manager products on platforms other than Microsoft
  Windows, for example IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and

Local fix

• To avoid the issue for future backups rebind the backups to a
  management class with a name 29 or less characters long.
  There is no local fix to restore existing backups.
  Contact IBM support to obtain a fix.
