IT19589: LOG TARGETS WITH UNAVAILABLE SYSLOG-TCP DESTINATIONS MIGHT CAUSE HIGH CPU DUE TO EXCESSIVE TCP CONNECTION ATTEMPTS
Fixes are available
Closed as program error.
When the destination server for a syslog-tcp log target is unavailable, the CPU on the DataPower Gateway might rise dramatically due to excessive syslog-tcp connection attempts.
Many syslog-tcp targets going to a remote syslog server which is down might rise DataPower CPU usage.
Add tuning parameters to sylog-tcp logging targets to allow customers to reduce the syslog retries to the syslog server Fix is available in 22.214.171.124, 126.96.36.199, 188.8.131.52, 184.108.40.206, 220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168 For a list of the latest fix packs available, please see: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21237631
