Error description

  • After upgrade to IBM Spectrum Protect server V7.1.7, running a
server script will generate misleading message ANR2017I in the
    actlog.
    Script example below:
    Name Line Command
             Number
    ------ ------ --------------------------------------
TST 1 select * from processes where
                         process='Database Backup'
             6 if(rc_ok) goto good
11 issue message i 'No process'
             16 exit
             21 good:
             26 issue message i 'Process '

If this script is executed when there is not BACKUP DB process
on going, the interactive result is good:

    tsm: SRV>run tst
ANR2034E SELECT: No match found using this criteria.
    ANR1496I No process
ANR1462I RUN: Command script TST completed successfully.

But in the actlog, there are misleading ANR2017I messages for
all commands, even those which are not really executed:

ANR2017I Administrator A issued command: RUN tst
=>ANR2017I Administrator A issued command: select * from
      processes where process='Database Backup'
=>ANR2017I Administrator A issued command: ISSUE MESSAGE i "No
      process"
=>ANR2017I Administrator A issued command: ISSUE MESSAGE i
     "Process "
ANR2017I Administrator A issued command: select * from processes
     where process='Database Backup'
ANR0944E QUERY PROCESS: No active processes found.
ANR2034E SELECT: No match found using this criteria.
ANR2017I Administrator A issued command: ISSUE MESSAGE i "No
     process"
    ANR1496I No process
ANR1462I RUN: Command script TST completed successfully.

The three ANR2017I messages highlighted with arrows should not
    appear.
That is misleading, especially when scripts are executed via an
administrative schedule, and actlog analysis is needed to check
    the result of the scripts.
