IT17926: IMS CALLOUT HANDLER MIGHT LOOP WITH EOFEXCEPTION FOR SAME TOKEN
Fixes are available
Closed as program error.
When a stale connection becomes present in the response connection pool and the IMS Callout Handler tries to send a response message with that connection, this will lead to an expected EOFException error being logged. However, this might then end up going into a loop causing an error message similar to the one below to be logged multiple times and for same correlation token. [0x8c800015][ims][error] source-ims-callout(IMS_Callout_FSH): Fail to deliver response (length: 1748, correlation token 0x0028000XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX). Error: com.ibm.ims.connect.ImsConnectCommunicationException: HWS0008E: Failed to send or receive messages to and from IMS Connect hostName [10.XX.XX.XX], portNumber . Original error: [EOFException]. This issue can prevent subsequent response messages from being delivered by the affected IMS Callout Handler.
Customer who uses IMS Callout front protocol handler might see the HWS0008E error with the same correlation token repeatedly logged, if the IMS Callout front protocol handler failed to send or receive messages.
Fix is available in 126.96.36.199, 188.8.131.52, 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11 For a list of the latest fix packs available, please see: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21237631
