IT17246: INSERTDB FAILS WITH ANR0162W ERROR -530 PROCESSING TABLE BF.BITFILE.EXTENTS

Error description

  • During the Spectrum Protect Server Schema Conversion procedure,
    or during a cross platform migration from AIX, Solaris, or HP-UX
    to Linux, the INSERTDB process may fail with the following
    errors:
    
    ANR0162W Supplemental database diagnostic information:
    -1:40506:-1476
    ([IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/AIX64] SQL1476N  The current transaction
    was rolled back
    because of error "-530".  SQLSTATE=40506
    ).
    ANR0102E tbcli.c(2202): Error 9999 inserting row in table
    "BF.Bitfile.Extents".
    ANR0102E tbinsert.c(4943): Error 9999 inserting row in table
    "BF.Bitfile.Extents" .
    
    IBM Spectrum Protect Server Versions Affected:
    IBM Spectrum Protect Server version 7.1.5 and later.
    

Local fix

  • Determine the number of rows in the BF.Bitfile.Extents table by
    executing the following SQL statements while logged in as the
    server instance user:
    
      db2 connect to tsmdb1
      db2 "select card from syscat.tables where tabschema='TSMDB1'
    and   tabname='BF_BITFILE_EXTENTS'"
      db2 terminate
    
    Add to following to the server options file (dsmserv.opt)
    
    LOADTHRESHOLD nnnnn
    
    where 'nnnnn' is a value less than the number of rows in table
    BF.Bitfile.Extents.
    
    Save the file and rerun the DSMSERV LOADFORMAT and DSMSERV
    INSERTDB.
