APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The customer observed unexpected restarts, reason indicated as
    throttle, after memory decrease to 0% flapping over to 100%,
    if having set the stack-size of Compile Options Policy very
    large, e.g. 33554432 bytes (32 MB).
    

Local fix

  • Try to use the default of 524288 bytes or below, don't go
    beyond very large values like 10000000 (~10 MB) unless
    thoroughly tested and verified business reason.
    

Problem summary

  • When XSL transform stack is configured to 16MB 0r greater in
    Compile Options Policy, the appliance will account its memory
    incorrectly, resulting in a restart.
