IT16710: ANR4628E WITH ERROR CODE 5 MAY OCCUR WHILE A VOLUME IS BEING MOUNTED OR DISMOUNT ON SOLARIS SPARC PLATFORM.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • ANR4228E with error code 5 may occur when the drive is in
    transition state after a tape is loaded to the drive or a tape
    is removed from the drive.
    
    Although ANR4628E occurs, the server is able to use the drive
    for next operation.  This ANR4628E with error code 5 is
    ignorable.
    
    For example, ANR4228E with error code 5 may occur in the
    following sequence:
      1. A drive and a volume are finished to be used in one backup
         session.
      2. The volume is dismounted from the drive.
         (The volume is moved out  But the drive is in the
         transition state.)
      3. A new session starts.
      4. The new session tries to use the same drive, but ANR4628E
         may occurs on the same drive.
      5. Although ANR4628E occurs, the new session is able to mount
         a volume.
