Error description

  • CONVERT STGPOOL process might show following error under rare
    circumstance:

    03-08-2016 10:44:53 ANR9999D_2434090812
                         SdCatalogObject(sdcreate.c:3649)
                         Thread<196>: Encountered
an invalid non-dedup chunk with ID of 0
for object 841317198 with offset 0 while
                         inserting SDRO rows. (SESSION: 23988,
                         PROCESS: 477)

In this case, the conversion utility is not properly supplying
the inline deduplication engine, in the target
container storage pool, with adequate information. If the file
being processed by the inline deduplication
engine does not have a valid fingerprint, it should be stored as
a non-deduplicated file. However, in the
conversion case, the file is attempted to be stored as a
deduplicated file which results in the error.

A trace with the SD flag will print text similar to the
following as a confirmation that this problem
has been encountered. The key is the statement that a
fingerprint was not found the buffer.

    14:18:14.499
    [255][sdcreate.c][4371][SdFingerPrintDataStream]:Fingerprint not
found in 2231 bytes in buffer

    Initial Impact: Low|Medium|High
