Error description

• The Tivoli Storage Manager server may not expire archive objects
  that are deleted when a large archive copy group RETVER policy
  is in place.  This issue effects archive objects that are
  deleted using the DELETE ARCHIVE command with the client, or are
  deleted by applications using the API (including Data Protection
  applications).
  
  This can occur under the following circumstances:
  
  1. The RETVER value on the archive copy group is set to a value
  larger than the number of days between the current date and
  September 5th, 1956.
  2. A deletion as specified above occurs.
  
  This should be an uncommon situation in most environments.
  
  Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:   6.3.x and 7.1.x on
  all supported platforms

Local fix

• Set the RETVER in the archive copy group to a value less than
  the number of days between today's date and September 5th, 1956,
  then activate the policy set and run inventory expiration.
