APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When dp:substring-base64() is applied to a non-base64
  string, and the result is used as input for another extension
  function, the appliance might restart.
  

Local fix

• Use substring(...) instead of dp:substring-base64(...) where
  the input is not base64 encoded.
  

Problem summary

• Affected is the use of dp:substring-base64() DataPower extension
   function.
  
  When applied to input not being base64 encoded and the
  result is used
  as input for another extension function, then the appliance
  might restart.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fix is to return empty string in case of dp:substring-base64()
  being applied to
  input not being base64 encoded.
  
  It is available in 7.0.0.14, 7.1.0.11, 7.2.0.8, 7.5.0.2 and
  7.5.1.2
