Error description
When node replication performs recovery of damaged files, and a node's replication state is set to disabled, these errors are received within the activity log: ANR4908E Replication recovery of damaged files not able to initiate a replication recovery process on the target replication server. Reason 2092. . ANR9999D_4213241585 NrRecoverDamaged(nrmain.c:4225) Thread<107508>:REPLICATION RECOVERY of damaged file not able to start. Reason = 2092. RC 2092 means the replication node is disabled. The ANR9999D_4213241585 should not be displayed within the actlog. Only the ANR4908E error should be displayed. Customer/L2 Diagnostics: The errors occur when these combinations are in use: The Server option REPLRECOVERDAMAGED is set to ON. The replicate node command uses RECOVERDamaged=Yes (yes is the default). The node's RECOVERDamaged option is set to yes or no. The node's Replication state is set to disabled. The node's Replication Mode is Send. The errors do not affect the recovery of damaged file processing on all other nodes. Processing will continue for all node's whose replication state is enabled and RECOVERDamaged option is set to yes. The code will be changed so the ANR9999D_4213241585 is not displayed within the actlog. Initial Impact: Low Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected: Tivoli Storage Manager Server 7.1.1.0 and later on all supported platforms. Local fix
Enable the node's replication state if replication of the node's data is needed. If node replication's recover damaged is not needed, either set the server's REPLRECOVERDAMAGED to off, or use RECOVERDamaged=no with the replicate node command.
