  • On Library Client with Solaris SPARC and all suppported non-IBM
    tape libraries, volume mount fails with ANR8779E.

    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
    The TSM device driver sets LUN ID to the byte one of the SCSI
    command data block.
    If the LUN ID value is 0, this problem does not appear. If the
    LUN ID is greater than 33, we are faced by this problem.
    On Solaris 11 the LUN number of tape drives is not 0 or greater
    than 33. The TSM device driver resets the LUN number to a SCSI
    command via shifting this LUN number. This shifting may generate
    a none zero value. This none zero value will cause the failure
    of a SCSI command.
