Error description

  • Server can crash in "DeleteContainers" function if it is trying
    to delete a container in a storage pool directory that no longer
     exists.
    
    Activity log on server startup might report:
    
    ANR3418W Invalid storage pool directory
    specified:   /pool/pool1/dir  Error: No such file or directory.
    
    Getcoreinfo.txt on Linux platform will show:
    
    Core was generated by `dsmserv'.
    Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.

Local fix

  • update all container storage pools to have reusedelay of 9999
    
    ie
    update stgpool container_pool_name reusedelay=9999
