  • Using SNMP can lead to unexpected behavior including failing
    transactions, hung transactions or appliance restart.

Problem summary

  • Affected are datapower configurations with SNMP protocol
    enabled, queried for SNMP OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.20 (ipAddrTable from
    RFC1213-MIB).
    
    The above SNMP queries may cause transactions to fail or hang,
    corrupt transaction data or cause appliance instability
    including restarts.
    
    Note that this OID is commonly queried to obtain the list of
    device IP addresses by many network management and monitoring
    solutions using SNMP protocol.
