IT11010: IN RARE CASES BACKTRACES MAY NOT BE GENERATED PROPERLY

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In rare cases, when an unexpected restart occurs, the backtrace
    generated by DataPower may not be generated properly, making the
     interpretation
    of such error report by IBM Support more difficult. The CLI diag
    command "show task-freeze" may watchdog the appliance.
    

Local fix

  • In the meantime, you may work around that by disabling that
    feature in the configuration of the DataPower VM, either via
    the VMware
    console, or by editing the VM config file.

Problem summary

  • Affected are all Datapower configurations.
    
    When the appliance detects an error and produces watchdog
    backtrace, the resultant backtrace record included in an error
    report may be incomplete or corrupted, making the interpretation
    of such error report by IBM Support more difficult.
