APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a large XSLT containing / in the dp:summary section is
    uploaded onto the DataPower device using
    Internet Explorer, the WebGUI (internet explorer session)
    eventually hangs.

Local fix

  • Example: The issue is caused by the forward slash (/) in the
    <description> element in
    the attached XSL file:
    <dp:summary>
        <operation>xform</operation>
        <description> ... var://context/ZlinuxResponse' ...
    </description>
    </dp:summary>

    Removing the forward slashes (/) would be a workaround and can
    fix the hanging.

Problem summary

  • Viewing XSLT file that contains forward slash in the dp:summary
    section might hang on WebGUI using IE.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
