APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Description: During an NDMP Web client restore in which at
    least one directory is being restored, the bytes processed in
    the operation will not be updated during the operation.  This
    may result in the web client not refreshing itself with new data
     and appearance that the process has hung, or the restore window
     turning black. Regardless, the restore will complete
    successfully. Also the web client session may close after a
    period of time.
    
    Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected: 6.3.x and 7.1.x on all
    supported platforms
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics: Web Client window blacks out, but
    restore completes successfully.
    
    Initial Impact: Low
    
    Additional Keywords: NAS restore blank blacked hang hung
    

Local fix

  • Allow the restore to complete without the use of the web client
    window or perform the restore via another supported method other
     than the web client.
