Error description

  • Problem Description:
    After upgrading the Tivoli Storage Manager server to V7.1, the
    server fails to start and logs an SQL1031N error.
    
    This error can occur when the Tivoli Storage Manager server is
    configured for TCP/IP loopback communication such as when
    configured using the following instructions.

    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
    
    The following errors are logged:
    
    ANR0172I rdbdb.c(2423): Error encountered performing action
    ActivateDatabase.
    ANR0162W Supplemental database diagnostic information:
    -1031:SQLSTATE 58031: The connection was unsuccessful, because
    of a system error.
    :-1031 (SQL1031N  The database directory cannot be found on the
    indicated file system.  SQLSTATE=58031).
