APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • On Tivoli Storage Manager client nodes with very large
    filespaces, a dsmadmc select against the auditocc table might
    result in arithmetic data overflow.
    
    Here an example that compares Q AUDITOCC against the SELECT
    command:
    
    q auditocc LARGENODE
    
                          Node Name: LARGENODE
           Backup Storage Used (MB): 658 110 080.00
          Archive Storage Used (MB): 0.00
    Space-Managed Storage Used (MB): 1 549 424 896.00
            Total Storage Used (MB): 2 207 535 104.00
    
     Whereas the select would report the following TOTAL_MB:
    
     select * from auditocc where node_name='LARGENODE'
    
            NODE_NAME: LARGENODE
            BACKUP_MB: 548115264
       BACKUP_COPY_MB: 109994832
           ARCHIVE_MB: 0
      ARCHIVE_COPY_MB: 0
           SPACEMG_MB: 516492544
      SPACEMG_COPY_MB: 1032932352
             TOTAL_MB: -2087432192
    
    See the value reported for TOTAL_MB.
    The symptom is seen if the value reported exceeds what can be
    represented by an INTEGER value (2,147,483,647).
