APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Inactive NAS NDMP backups should be expired with the Tivoli
  Storage Manager Sever "expire inventory " process after they
  have exceed the policy retention. However, under certain
  condition, the inactive NDMP backups will not be expired.
  
  The problem can happen if  the following conditions met:
  - one  FULL active image
  - one FULL inactive image
  - one Differential inactive image and the Diff image is based
  off a  of the FULL inactive image.
  -both the inactive FULL and Differential images  have
  exceeded the policy retention
  
  
  Under above condition, the Diff image won't be selected for
  expire and, as a result both the inactive FULL and Diff  images
  remain in the Tivoli Storage Manager Server database .

Local fix

• Local fix:
  The objects should expire if another differential backup is
  performed on this NAS filespace/directory.
  If not, then manually remove the problem objects with command:
   delete object  object_id
