APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In the 'custom method' option of the Match Action of a
  processing poilicy customers using this to match on the 'custom
  method' 'OPTIONS', are unable to match  .
  Explicit support for OPTIONS and TRACE.
  

Local fix

• You may workaround this by:
      having up to 5 rules matching for the 5 selectable methods
  (DELETE/GET/HEAD/POST/PUT)
      after that a match all rule for handling
  OPTIONS+TRACE
  If you need distinction in last rule you may query
  var://service/protocol-method
  

Problem summary

• Affected are Datapower firmware releases 7.0.0.0 and up, in
  configurations with processing policies using matching rules of
  "HTTP Method" type. While support for TRACE and OPTIONS
  HTTP methods has been added in 7.0.0.0, they are missing in the
  list of methods in the configuration of matching rules using
  HTTP method.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is available in 7.2.0.0.
