APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• VTL Auto Relabel process and any other concurrent Library
  activity like Label Libvolume process hang.  There is a timing
  problem with the competing Library processes.   Depending on
  what process needs to wait for the other library activity, will
  hang indefinitely.  If (for example) Label Libv has to wait for
  the Auto Relabel, then only the Label Libv hangs.   The Auto
  Relabel will finish successfully.  The Cancel Process will mark
  the hung process as canceled, but the hung process never is
  canceled.  The Tivoli Storage Manager server has to be halted
  and restarted to clear the hung process.

  In this case the Auto Relabel hung and the Label Libv was
  reawakened and finished processing.
