Error description

  • When configuring the Tivoli Storage Manager server in a Windows
    cluster environment, the "dsmicfgx" wizard produces following
    popup message :
    
    - Directory Was Not Found -
    Directory Z:\dbextent was not found or is not accessible.
    The directory does not exist, or the instance user ID does not
    have authority to write to the directory.
    
    This happens because some cluster drives have a drive letter
    assigned and some have not.
    
    Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:    Tivoli Storage
    Manager server on Windows  versions 6.3 , 7.1
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics :
    
    The dsmicfgx.trc shows that 2 disks report the same drive letter
    - in this case it is X: - while this is not true, as
    in Windows one of the two disks was really assigned to drive
    letter Z:
