APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the TSM server is first initialized after a server upgrade
  it applies event rules which are user customized enabled or
  disabled message events to the existing set of events stored
  in the TSM server database. If the TSM server is restarted
  at the same server level, the server can use the set of
  enabled events that is stored in the TSM server database.
   The problem is during the first TSM server initialization
  after an upgrade the event rules are being applied to the TSM
  server memory but the updated set of enabled event messages
  are not being saved to the TSM server database.
  This results in the event rules applied to the event list are
  not preserved if the TSM server is restarted.
  Instead when the TSM server is restarted the set of enabled
  event messages are reverted to the settings
  prior to when the event rules were applied.
  
  Example symptom scenario
  You issue "ENABLE EVENTS FILETEXT ERROR"  to enable all error
   messages to the filetext receiver  on TSM server 6.3.1
  You upgrade the TSM server to V6.3.3.
  You issue "QUERY ENABLED FILETEXT" and see that all error
   messages introduced in  V6.3.3 are  enabled.
  You restart V6.3.3 TSM server.
  You issue "QUERY ENABLED FILETEXT" and you see that the error
   messages introduced in V6.3.3 are no longer enabled.
