APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a volume is in use by another process (such as reclamation
processing) and is also selected for inclusion in a 'move
drmedia' operation, that volume may be ejected into the I/O door
on the library but not have its DRM status updated to 'vault'.
The can result in the volume being sent off-site, but 'query
drmedia' still lists the volume as 'mountable'

The original 'move drmedia' command does fail warning the admin
with ANR6708W, however the volume is still ejected to the I/O
    door.

Local fix

  • Avoid running processes that may make use of the copy storage
    pool 'move drmedia' is processing.
