Error description

• Tivoli Storage Manager node replication may fail with
  communication error ANR3178E on the source server
  if following conditions are true:
  
  - the data is deduplicated on the source and the target server
  - larger files are being replicated because it takes a certain
    number of deduplicated chunks for the error to occur
  
  Note: This is not a network issue.
  
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
  Example actlog from source server:
  
  ANR3178E A communication error occurred during session 1234 with
    replication server TARGET_SERVER.
  ANR0479W Session 1234 for server TARGET_SERVER (Windows)
    terminated - connection with server severed.
  
  If SSL is also enabled, the following error will also be
  reported on the source server:
  
  ANR8581E An SSL read error occurred on session
  xxx.  The GSKit return code is 420.
  
  Example actlog from target server:
  
  ANR0444W Protocol error on session 4321 for node NODEA (Windows)
    - out-of-sequence verb (type BackInsNormEnhanced) received.
  ANR0484W Session 4321 for node NODEA (Windows) terminated -
    protocol violation detected.

  Tivoli Storage Manager Server 6.3 and 7.1 on all supported
  platforms
