APAR status

Error description

  • Client nodes that have proxy agents backing up data on its
    behalf might
    show it is at risk with at-risk state=Policy even though data
    for the client node
    has been successfully backed up within the at risk interval.
    The problem is
    the server is not correctly assessing the at-risk state of  the
    target node
    because the data was backed up by its proxy agent nodes.
    
    
    Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:
    Tivoli Storage Manager server V6.3 and V7.1

Local fix

  • V6.3 and V7.1 Tivoli Storage Manager server users can ignore the
     at risk state of the target client node if its data is being
    backed up by proxy agents.
    
    If using  V7.1 Tivoli Storage Manager server and  you do not
    want the target node to show it is at risk you can set the
    target node at-risk evaluation mode to 'Bypass'
    by using the SET NODEATRISKINTERVAL command or by going to the
    Operations Center's Client view and change the target client
    node's at-risk mode to 'Bypass'.
