IT01765: ERROR MESSAGE MISSING ON SOURCE SERVER WHEN A REPLICATION PROCESS PROCESS FAILS WITH THE ANR1893E

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Running "replicate node " to replicate a node's data to a target
    server,  this replication process can fail  when all the
    following conditions met:
    
    
    1: The node as defined on the source server does not exist on
    target server
    2: The domain to which the node on the source server belongs
    does not exist as a domain on the target server
    3: The STANDARD domain doesn't exist on the target server
    
    L2/Customer diagnostics:
    
    On source server:
    NodeA belong to domain  domain_A
    
    On target server:
    NodeA doesn't exist
    Domain_A doesn't exist
    Standard domain doesn't exist
    .
    
    Under above condition, "replicate node nodeA " will fail with
    the following message on the source server:
    
    
    
    ANR1893E Process XX  for Replicate Node completed with a
    completion state of FAILURE
    
    
    On the  target Server, receiving below error:
    
      ANR1590E REGISTER NODE: Policy domain STANDARD is not  defined
    .
    
    
    An error message should be logged on the source server prior to
    report the failure
    .
    
    Platform /version affected:
    Tivoli Storage Manager Server v6.3 /v7.1 on all supported
    platforms
    

Local fix

  • Export the policy to the target server prior to run the
    replicate node with below command:
    On source server:
    export server filedata=none toserver=target_server
